In plain words: what you make is yours, our liability is limited, and nothing costs money while payments are closed.

1. What these terms cover

These terms apply to the Pianyu web app at pianyubook.com and pianyubook.com (the “site”). By using the site you confirm you have read and accepted them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Our mobile and mini-program editions, where available, are separate products governed by the terms published on their own pages.

    • 2. What the site does

    It turns what you say, type and select into finished photo books, stories and memoirs, and lets you export a PDF plus a full memory-library backup file.

    Everything is composed inside your own browser. We never upload or store your photos or body text.

  • Speech-to-text uses a third-party recognition service (see Privacy Policy). Nothing else needs a network connection.
  • We do not promise that any particular layout, style or output format stays unchanged forever. The product keeps evolving.

    • 3. Price and the free period

    While payments are not yet open, every feature is free to use, with no time limit, no hold and no card required.

    Once paid plans open, prices are those shown on the Pricing page (currently $8.99 for a photo book, $18.99 for one story, $38.99 for a whole life). The amount is shown before you pay, and nothing is charged automatically.

  • Work you created during the free period will not be retroactively charged, and files you already exported stay yours.

    • 4. Your content is yours

    The text you type, the photos you add and the results you generate belong to you. We claim no rights over them.

    Because your content lives only in your own browser, we cannot access it, view it or restore it for you. Please export backups regularly.

  • You confirm you have the right to use the photos and text you upload, and that they do not infringe anyone's likeness, copyright or other rights.

    • 5. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the site to create or distribute unlawful content, including content that harms minors, incites violence, defrauds, promotes hate, or infringes rights.
  • Do not reverse engineer, scrape at scale, load-test or bypass access controls.
  • Do not impersonate anyone or compose someone else's personal memoir without their permission.

    • If these rules are broken we may suspend or end your access; paid amounts are handled under the Refund Policy.

    6. Disclaimers

    The site is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep it available, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted or error-free.

    Your data lives locally. Clearing browser site data, switching device or browser, or reinstalling the system will erase it beyond recovery. Such loss is not our responsibility.

    AI-generated wording and layout can be inaccurate or not to your taste. Please review before you send anything out.

    7. Limitation of liability

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect loss, lost profits or lost data.

    Where we are liable, our total liability is capped at the amount you actually paid for that service.

  • Nothing here excludes liability that law does not allow to be excluded, such as wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

    • 8. Changes and termination

    We may add, change or retire features. Material changes are announced on the site and this page's date is updated.

    If the site ever shuts down we will announce it in advance; files you already exported remain usable, since they are on your own device.

    9. Governing law

    These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Mandatory consumer protections in your own country are not affected.

    We ask that you contact us first; unresolved disputes go to the competent court where the operator is established.
