Privacy First: Your Photos Never Leave Your Browser
Most photo services work by taking your photos. This one does not.
Your photos, your captions, your voice drafts and your finished books are composed and kept in your browser, on your own device. We do not upload them, we do not hold an account for you, and there is no server of ours that a book could disappear from.
The two exceptions, stated precisely
- Voice to text. When you speak instead of typing, the audio is sent to a transcription provider and returned as text. The provider does not store the audio. Nothing else about that recording is kept by us.
- The card library. If you send cards into the library, they are stored until your yearly export. That is the one place we hold something for you, and it exists so the set is waiting when you want it.
Nothing else leaves your device.
What we do not do
- No account, no sign-in, no profile of you.
- No ad tracking, no third-party analytics pixels on your photos.
- No "we may use your content to improve our services" clause.
- No selling, licensing, or training on your photographs.
What we cannot promise
We do not claim your photos can never be lost. Software can fail and drives can die. That is why the product's advice is three copies: one on the device you work on, one on a drive you touch once a year, and one with a person. The export is a file you own — that is the point of exporting rather than syncing.
